2. Description or Scope of Work/Services:

The Hospitality Designer acts as a lead to the project team and manages the design development of specific projects. The designer plans and executes the presentation of these designs in graphic form or in detailed renderings and/or other similar presentation types. Minimum 2-8+ years experience.

3. Specific responsibilities can include:

  • Act as project lead under Principal’s direction.  Duties include creating, updating and maintaining project budget(s), FF&E specification book(s) and project drawing set(s).
  • Overseeing the design for a client(s) and ensuring the designs fit with the client(s) expectations.
  • Liaison with principals, employees, consultants, vendors and contractors
  • Maintaining the project’s overall design direction and aesthetic
  • Manage the delivery of the project(s)
  • Review of and selection for all furnishings & décor items with the project team(s) for approval by the principal-in-charge
  • Oversee and coordinate all budgeting, ordering, expediting, and scheduling of the project team(s) for both residential and commercial interior design projects
  • Assist Design team with design planning, concepts & presentations
  • Attend project meetings and site visits either alone or with Principal(s)
  • Oversee and coordinate with on-site project installations
  • Manage and mentor other office personnel, including project team members, design assistants and interns
  • Procurement of furnishings and décor items as needed, maintaining FF & E budgets and all back up paperwork
  • Liaise with Procurement team, Principals and Project Managers
