Project Manager Job Description:

The Project Manager’s responsibility is the management of multiple architectural projects from design development through construction administration including the timing and cost of those projects as assigned by the Client Manager.

While remote work is available, new employees must work onsite for at least 3 months.


The Project Manager is the lead member of a project team and reports to the Senior Project Manager or the Client Manager. The Project Manager also directs other office personnel and consultants working on the projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Project Management

  • Manage projects as assigned by the Client Manager
  • Understand, utilize and convey office standards
  • Communicate design concepts to clients
  • Understand code requirements
  • Research products and materials

2. Operations and Activities

  • Responsible for the creation and completion of drawings needed for Bid, Permit, and Final Construction documents
  • Maintain contact/coordinate with consultants to maintain and build a complete set of CD’s
  • Participate in the design development of floor plans as directed by the Client Manager

3. Organization

  • Communicate with Job Captains and Draft Persons to achieve design concepts
  • Communicate with Client Manager regarding project profitability and scheduling
  • Communicate with all engineers on concept, and final product timing and cost.

4. Personnel

  • Maintain open line of communication with other individuals assigned to projects Maintain open line of communications with consultants working on projects

5. Finance

  • Understanding of project economics
  • Work within project budgets
  • Manage work load for project profitability

6. Planning

  • Plan and report on status of projects.
  • Assist in project planning and implementation
  • Assist with the strategic planning for the projects
  • Assist Client Manager with project proposals when requested

Supervisory Responsibility:

Supervises members of the project who are directly involved in the development of documents for the project.


The Project Manager must have:

  • Architectural background
  • A technical or associate degree from an accredited institution,
  • Be proficient in the use of AutoCAD and specifically "Revit" for design and contract document purposes. *Revit experience is mandatory.

Work Experience

5-10 years’ experience in running multiple projects throughout the development cycle.
