Come be a part of a winning team! LWC is seeking a Project Manager – Registered Architect for our Richmond, Indiana location. 

All qualified candidates must be a Registered Architect with a Bachelor’s Degree and/or Master’s Degree in Architecture with 7-10 years’ of experience on commercial projects serving the public sector with seasoned, successful Project Management experience.

 The Registered Architect will have overall project management responsibilities for a variety of commercial projects and project teams, including client-facing, scheduling, and budgeting and will report to the Principal-In-Charge.  

In this role, the Project Manager will act as the contact for our clients from the design phase through the end of construction. It is essential that the Project Manager ensures that the goal or intent of the design is achieved, fulfilling our client’s expectations and ensuring the building follows all structural codes and construction standards. This involves verifying the accuracy and completeness of all drawings and specifications as well as communicating with the contractors on the project.  

In this role, you will specifically be responsible for the following:

  • Work in team environment to design a new structure or modify an existing structure and prepare needed documentation
  • Discuss designs and cost estimates (including space programming, developing, coordinating and directing) with clients and others involved in the project (Others include engineers, quantity surveyors, landscape architects etc.)
  • Obtain necessary approvals from authorities
  • Prepare specifications and contract documents, specifying building materials, construction equipment and examine relevant codes and by-laws in the course of undertaking project documentation
  • Observe, inspect and monitor building work, to ensure that it is progressing according to the contract and specifications
  • Conduct post-occupancy evaluation of projects
  • Will be involved in project feasibility studies, strategic asset investigations, heritage studies, urban planning, interior design and/or landscape design
  • Ability to develop/maintain good working relationships with all involved on a project (owners, architects, local officials, contractors, vendors) in order to help successfully complete projects within limits of budget and time is essential

Qualified candidates must possess both strong oral and written communication skills and be confident in the office and on project sites.  The selected candidate will be highly-organized with strict attention-to-detail, with the ability to handle various competing tasks simultaneously, possess excellent analytical skills, with ability to problem solve and troubleshoot under pressure, meanwhile maintaining a positive can-do attitude.  Candidates must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Revit. 

Position requires site travel; anticipated overnight travel is minimal.  Must possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted driver’s license and driving record, as deemed suitable by LWC’s insurance carrier.
