CallisonRTKL seeks a Project Architect with project management experience to join its Retail Stores team located in Seattle, Washington. This position collaborates with a diverse and creative team, dedicated to excellence in design and innovative problem solving. The primary responsibility is managing small-to-mid scale specialty retail projects. The ideal candidate will be organized, detailed-oriented, and a self-starting individual driven to succeed.

Responsibilities

  • Understands all phases of design and construction
  • Plans, coordinates and manages the project process for small-to-mid scale projects
  • Prepares work drawings, specifications and cost estimates for projects
  • Oversees and revises construction documents, drawings and renderings
  • Represents the project or practice as the primary contact for client interaction
  • Negotiates critical and controversial issues with appropriate parties
  • Collaborates with other lead professionals to ensure design and documentation are in accordance with project expectations
  • Ensures work meets client's requirements, is timely and completed within budget
  • Manages the work of architecture and interior design staff that complete design or production work, and construction documents
  • Attends and participates in client meetings and is responsible for developing and maintaining positive client relationships  
  • Serves as Revit coordinator for multiple project teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related design field
  • Master's degree preferred
  • 6+ years of related architecture experience, retail project experience preferred
  • Professional registration preferred
  • LEED accreditation preferred
  • Ability to prioritize and concurrently service multiple projects
  • Sophisticated design sense and strong technical background
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective problem solving and interpersonal skills and ability to interface with all clients and employees
  • In-depth knowledge of building codes
  • Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Affinity
  • Experience with SketchUp
