Islyn Studio is seeking a PROJECT MANAGER who is exceptionally organized, a masterful communicator and a confident leader, all while keeping a cool head.  Applicants should have a minimum of (6) years experience managing projects for hospitality, including completion of at least (1) hotel project from Concept through Construction Administration.  This role will manage internal resources while strengthening our external relationships with clients and contractors.  Please be skilled at seeing the big picture (schedules, staffing, budget), as well as the details (design, drawings, value engineering).


  • 5+ years of total post-graduate industry experience with 3+ years PMing for hotel design / development

  • 4-year Interior Design or Architecture degree from an accredited institution

  • Hospitality experience to include overseeing at least 1 Model Room review process

  • Managed projects from start to finish with minimum internal team of 3 staff members

  • Expert at resource management; staffing, scheduling, proposals, etc.

  • Experience working across all project phases, Concept through Construction Administration

  • Able to compose and manage a complete set of Design Development drawings

  • Experience reviewing and redlining DD-level / CD-level drawings

  • High AutoCAD aptitude is required, Revit experience is a plus

  • Knowledgeable of Interior Design history and the current market; luxury hotels to casual grab n’ go cafes

  • Able to draw and detail custom FF&E and millwork, review corresponding shop drawings

  • Well-versed in value engineering while upholding design intent

  • Demonstrating exceptional leadership, masterful internal and external communication

  • Possessing of a positive attitude, voracious tenacity and a collaborative spirit

  • Desire to be a long-term hire, member of the Islyn team, grow with our Studio

  • Located in Metro NYC area, able to attend office hours and local site visits
