The Cearnal Collective is an award winning Architecture and Interior Design firm located in beautiful downtown Santa Barbara. With nearly 35 years of experience, the Collective boasts a wide range of project types and design styles. The Interiors Studio has been a highly collaborative, design-centric team, focused on creative offices, boutique hotels, restaurants, high-end residential, senior living, and mixed-use project types. We are looking for a driven, energetic, creative, organized and generally awesome interior designer to continue to grow this amazing department. What you need to know... Skills & Qualifications: • Minimum 6 years professional design experience (preferably in both residential & commercial) • Ideally a professional degree or certification in Interior Design or related field • Proficiency in BIM drafting required - Revit preferred • SketchUp experience and rendering abilities desirable • Proficiency in InDesign & Photoshop • Knowledge of and experience with California state building codes and standards (including ADA). • Must be able to communicate design ideas in an organized and efficient manner with high attention to detail • Familiarity with building materials, finishes, furniture and lighting • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize work load and tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast paced work environment • Must enjoy working in a highly collaborative studio environment What we will expect you to do... Responsibilities: • Work with a team on conceptual design, development, and presentation of project concepts • Produce and manage interior construction drawings, finish/fixture schedules and specifications • Source inspiration, research materials and furnishings • Attend project meetings and site visits and work closely and collaboratively with principals, clients, architects, contractors, and consultants • FF&E; quoting, budgets, proposals, specifications, purchase orders, payments, and installation • Handle multiple tasks in a fast paced working environment • Candidates must be positive, self-motivated, curious and eager to contribute and grow What you're really interested in...
