Bryan O’Sullivan Studio is an interior design firm specializing in high-end residential and hospitality design. Our involvement in our projects covers a wide scope, including interior architectural design, bespoke FF&E design, FF&E sourcing and specifications, accessory sourcing, and branding.

Our main office is based in London. Our newer office in New York City is currently working on multiple exciting projects, including a hotel in Los Angeles and a private residence in Mexico. The NYC office is expanding, and we are hiring a Senior Interior Designer with an average of 7 years of experience as an interior designer/architect in a professional design office. This is a full-time position in the New York office.

Candidate's responsibilities will include:

  • Design and conceptual input throughout all phases of a project.
  • Daily management of projects from the conceptual through construction & installation phases, under the guidance of, and through daily communication and planning with, that project’s Associate. Management of a project includes rigorous upkeep of time tables and schedules to keep track of the progress of the project.
  • Production of mood boards.
  • Production of interior floor plans and elevations.
  • Production of furniture layouts.
  • Sourcing FF&E (Fixtures, Furniture & Equipment).
  • Production of FF&E schedules.
  • Production of Construction Drawing Packages, including interior elevations, and millwork & furniture detailing.
  • Consistent communication with suppliers, fabricators, and vendors.

Requirements for this position include:

  • Degree in interior design from an accredited university program.
  • Experience in designing layouts for residential and hospitality projects, including furniture plans, kitchens and bathrooms, etc.
  • High proficiency in both AutoCAD and SketchUp (and Mac-compatible rendering software). Applicants must be able to demonstrate their proficiency in this software to the interviewer.
  • High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office. 
  • Knowledge of high-end FF&E sources for residential and hospitality projects.
  • Knowledge of boutique antiques/vintage sources.
  • High proficiency in both written and spoken English.
  • Full-time in-person attendance at our office in Manhattan.
  • Candidates must currently and permanently reside in New York City or its vicinity.
  • Travel may be required for project visits.
