Responsibilities

Big Picture Responsibilities:

  • Deeply comprehend and champion The X Company’s product vision and design standards across assigned projects during development and construction.
  • Relay feedback and insight on design standards and specifications gained during development and construction back to Design Team for incorporation into design standards.

 Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Effectuate the execution of high-quality product through the review and markup of architectural and interior design drawing documentation for conformance to X Design specification standards, and through coordination with the X Development Team and design consultants.
  • Actualize move-in ready apartments and hospitality grade communal spaces through the successful installation of FF&E and art installations. Includes budgeting, concept development, the creation of assets that will allow for successful actualization of the vision, and management of installations for quality assurance.
  • Manage and execute project specific renderings with 3rd party vendors.
  • Support the project’s Development Associate by reviewing design specific RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, samples and mockups.
  • Support the project’s Project Manager during the punch process to ensure the Design Standards and Design Documentation are properly executed in the field. Create a feedback loop and patch Design Standards when necessary. Out of state travel to our projects in development is required.
  • Support the project’s Development Associate and Project Manager in ensuring the design intent of art and other specialty installations is communicated to the Development Team and properly executed in the field.

  • Can effectively weave together their interests & skills and develop concepts with technical tools (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Bluebeam Revu, Revit/CAD, hand sketches, etc) to express concepts/ideas in a visual format (digital presentation, 3D model, etc). 
  • Can think at various scales -conceptually/big picture down to small details required for execution
  • Can think in various dimensions (spatially, programmatically, temporally).
  • Values team rapport.
  • Has exceptional analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Is willing and able to communicate effectively with many different stakeholders including leadership, team members, consultants, and vendors.
  • Is a self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and assertive follow-through.
  • Travel expected 25-50% of time.

 Qualifications

  • Minimum of 30 months of experience producing, quality controlling, and coordinating design documents at an architecture, interior architecture, development, or hospitality firm. Previous experience with Revit (or equivalent) is required.
  • Strong grasp of Bluebeam Revu (or equivalent), Excel, and InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
  • Not only wants to create amazing product but is willing to endure the challenges and effort that come with that.
  • Are the most detail-oriented, yet creative person they know.
  • NOTE: Must present proof of full COVID-19 vaccination
