COMPANY DESCRIPTION
Impact Housing (https://ihousing.us/) is a Southern California, mission-driven, and vertically integrated start-up housing production company that designs, builds, and activates high volumes of unsubsidized new housing for the most underserved segments of the housing market, low- and moderate-income households. Our core belief is that the design and development of multi-family housing costs too much and must change. We are employing the efficiencies and scalability of off-site construction and modular design to address today’s housing crisis with an integrated and innovative development and design model. Our architecture company, iDnA, is currently recruiting Senior Architectural Staff.

POSITION SUMMARY
Senior Architectural Staff have the background and experience to develop Impact Housing design concepts into detailed and constructible technical documents, permit sets, and construction documents. They create technical and design solutions and clearly present work products to colleagues in both written and visual formats. Under the supervision of Project Managers, they also work with the Chief Architect Officer and Company leadership. While training and mentoring less experienced team members, they collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to execute the onsite and offsite architectural components of multi-family and mixed-use modular projects.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Years of Experience: 6 to 10 years of relevant, particularly multi-family residential, architecture experience including use of Revit or equal as well as other software utilized for architectural design and the implementation of projects

  • Certification(s): working towards licensure or licensed architect
  • Key Skills
    • design, visualization, and technical competence as evidenced by quality of individual and team work on previous projects

    • capacity to multi-task on all aspects of one or more projects
    • self-organizer and self-manager of work, tasks, and schedule
    • clear communicator of design concepts and details, work and task status, and milestones in both written and visual formats to team members and leadership
  • Project and Management Responsibility: ability to collaborate with Company leadership and oversee the work and mentoring of less experienced team members to meet Company goals and objectives
  • Work Authorization: all prospective Impact Housing and iDnA employees need to demonstrate eligibility to work in the U.S.
