As a Development One Project Manager, you will exercise the full range of your skillset – design, client relations, team coordination, and more.   With the guidance of the senior staff, you will quickly master our design and quality control practices.  As you build relationships with our clients, you will exemplify the firm’s strong culture of service.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS MAY INCLUDE:

Within the first 30 days and ongoing:

  • Learn Development One’s services, team roles, processes and quality control procedures
  • Ask the right questions to gain confidence and knowledge about how to manage core responsibilities

By 90-days and ongoing:

  • Spearhead projects, lead a team of architects, job captains, and consultants on a variety of project types including office, courthouses, aviation and aerospace facilities, data centers, and laboratories
  • Understand the quality control program with nuances specific to Development One as documented in the standards manual
  • Fully utilize AutoCAD and Revit software and can confidently contribute to design documents as necessary
  • Oversee and assist the team in the production of presentations and construction documents

By 6 to 9 months and ongoing:

  • Smoothly execute the basic steps and processes of running a project; able to interpret the Statement of Work, create and set up a schedule, and know which parties are needed to be involved in the project in conjunction with our oversight
  • Communicate on behalf of the client, gain an understanding of their goals and ensure their implementation
  • Embrace and practice our core values: Visionary, Service Excellence, Quality Accountability, Integrity, Purpose Driven, Mission Driven
  • Highly engaged and involved with projects and support others when needed to accomplish a common goal to provide our clients with exceptional service
  • With both the client and firm’s best interests at heart, conduct site observations and construction administration services to ensure that the project is being built as designed

12 months and ongoing:

  • Utilize technical knowledge and management skills to successfully plan, direct and monitor all aspects of projects; able to manage 3-4 projects and provide support and assistance to other projects
  • Monitor and track project progress, budget, and be responsible for the overall project performance
  • Participate in the implementation of design standards and quality control procedures to accurately complete all technical documents necessary
  • Anticipate needs for projects and proactively prepare for any possible problems in a diplomatic and strategic way
  • Show continued growth and enthusiasm to provide the clients with exceptional service

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, EDUCATION:

  • Architectural degree from a U.S. accredited college/university required
  • 5+ years of experience in the architecture industry required
  • 3+ years of project management experience required
  • Architecture licensure a plus, or willingness to actively pursue licensure
  • Proven experience in institutional or government architectural field a plus
  • Working knowledge and experience with AutoCAD and Revit
