DSEA is a growing boutique firm located next to the historic plaza in Old Towne Orange.

While we do not specialize in any one project type, we enjoy work on childcare centers, educational buildings, retail & commercial centers, hotels and hospitality, care facilities, senior housing, single family housing and multi-family residences. We also have expertise in historic preservation and rehabilitation of existing structures for alternative uses. There are three main pillars which exemplify our work - Preservation, Adaptation and Innovation. We utilize BIM software through the ArchiCAD platform to best accomplish our goals of high-quality design, thorough communication, and a high level of accuracy in our documents.

 Our office is a casual family atmosphere with a supportive environment for all employees to aspire to achieve their personal and professional goals. We are located within the Old Towne Orange Historic Commercial District integrated with many restaurants and specialty shops that the area is known for.

We are seeking energetic, goal-driven candidates to join our team. Individuals need to be eager to learn, willing to take on the many roles and responsibilities that boutique firms demand and be able to work collaboratively through all phases of our projects. The minimum requirements we expect candidates to have are the following:

Designer:

  • Bachelor or Master of Architecture degree from an accredited institution.
  • 1-3 years + of experience working in an architectural firm.
  • BIM software experience, all platforms. ArchiCAD expertise is a plus, but Revit is acceptable. We can help Revit users transition to ArchiCAD.

Job Captain:

  • Bachelor or Master of Architecture degree from an accredited institution.
  • 2-5 years + of experience working in an architecture firm.
  • Coordination of all aspects of architectural project development.
  • Working within budgets and schedules.
  • BIM software experience all platforms. ArchiCAD expertise is a plus, but Revit is acceptable. We can help Revit users transition to ArchiCAD.
  • Bachelor or Master of Architecture degree from an accredited institution.
  • Managing all aspects of architectural project development.
  • Developing and managing budgets and schedules.
  • Managing staff and project process in a collaborative environment.
  • BIM software experience all platforms. ArchiCAD expertise is a plus, but Revit is acceptable. We can help Revit users transition to ArchiCAD.


    Project Manager:

    In addition to these minimum requirements we would ideally like this person to have the following skills:

    • Strong sense of design (We need you to be able to quickly and effectively show massing and planning concepts through sketching)
    • Ability to develop a project from conceptual design through construction documents in a BIM environment.
    • Experience in communicating with clients, contractors, consultants, and agency representatives.
    • 5 -7 years + of experience working in an architecture firm.
    • Excellent organization skills.
    • Field experience – job site experience coordinating projects through the construction phase.
