Position Description - Architectural Project Coordinator/Project Architect

Location:  Kauai, Hawaii   This is not a remote work opportunity

What we are looking for:

We are searching for a highly motivated and creative team leader who will be in charge of overseeing timely completion of projects. This person will report to the Director of Design and will lead the team to help design, draft, and visualize beautiful, cutting-edge, luxury homes and other residential structures while working closely with the vision of our valued clientele.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build a collaborative working environment with a growing team
  • Establish and maintain positive team morale
  • Produce projects from conception to construction both independently and collaboratively with the team including producing photorealistic renderings and drawing sets for permits
  • Carry out clients’ design vision and resolve changes per their request
  • Research and implement current design trends
  • Keep up with county codes
  • Coordinate with engineering, HVAC, electrical, plumbing and landscape design on drawing sets
  • Develop and manage the schedule and budget for the design process
  • Participate in management and finance meetings
  • Push projects to the finish line

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of design experience using a variety of software
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience
  • College Degree in Architecture or relevant field
  • Proficiency in Revit and Rhino required, Lumion is a plus
  • Proficiency in creating photo realistic renderings
  • Experience in custom residential single family home projects
  • Desire to work on unique and creative projects that will bring the client’s vision to life and demand the very best in you
  • Organized and detailed with the ability to multi-task effectively
  • Meticulous accuracy and follow through
  • Responsible with a strong work ethic, integrity, and reliability
  • Ability to work well under pressure, remain calm in stressful situation while continuing to motivate the team to meet deadlines
  • Logical decision-making abilities and problem solving
  • Understanding of client confidentiality
  • Professional, approachable, and a team player
  • Position requires flexibility in schedule as well as willingness to work long hours as needed

Position is located in Kapaa, Hawaii on the island of Kauai. This is not a remote opportunity.

Starting Pay: $85,000 per year, depending on experience Medical benefits and 401K with matching are available.
