Core Group Architects, an architectural firm in Long Island NY area seeks a senior architect to join our team.

We’re looking for a Sr. Architect with a minimum of 15 years experience in the architectural field who is an advanced leader and can assist with the development and application of project vision within the architectural discipline and have a strong construction document production skillset.  Strong technical knowledge, project and client management skills are necessary.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated person committed to the highest levels of professional conduct, ethical responsibility, and provides guidance and an example for others to follow. A motivated person who is just as comfortable managing the work as they are interfacing with clients and helping us build our business. As a part of the Core Group team, you will have the support staff to help you succeed in all aspects of your work.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Construction document production.
  • Lead project team in the development of production documents.
  • Manage and monitor activities for multiple projects and provide technical and design guidance and direction.
  • Serve as a client contact for multiple clients and be involved in client negotiations and project execution.
  • Foster existing and develop new client and professional relationships.
  • Oversee the execution of departmental and corporate goals specific to the project and group.
  • Develop operational procedures to ensure compliance with applicable practice policies and performance measures.
  • Assist with the development of new clients and obtain project opportunities for the firm.
  • Assist with the technical preparation of major proposals.

Education and Qualifications

  • 15+ years of architectural experience (10+ years project management and 5+ years of staff management experience).
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD.
  • The ability to work and thrive in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of project specifications & CSI division formatting.
  • Knowledge of professional and construction contracts.
  • Strong organizational, time management & multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
  • Professional RA license required.
  • LEED accreditation a plus.
  • Other professional affiliations a plus.
