Meier Partners Architects LLP is hiring a highly motivated individual with demonstrated experience in the A/E/C realm to assume the role of Communications Manager based in the New York office.  Working closely with the Partners and Senior Staff, the Manager will be responsible for the firm’s communications and assist with business development efforts.

Responsibilities include:

  • Management of all responsibilities relating to press activity, new book publications, exhibitions, award submissions, and communications-related archiving.
  • Create, assemble, and design all business proposals, firm brochures, press releases, press kits, award packages, and lecture presentations.
  • Conception and completion of substantive writing assignments related to existing and potential projects under tight deadlines (proposals, publications, presentations, lectures).
  • Preparation of Requests for Qualification, Requests for Information, Requests for Proposals, and SF330 Forms.
  • Pro-active assessment of potential projects.
  • Engagement and expansion of client relationships regionally and internationally, as well as the establishment of a presence in new geographic markets.
  • Management of website, including selection and editing of content.
  • Responsible for managing interviews and public engagements for the Partners, coordinating the practice’s public and press presence, and effectively executing the practice’s communications strategy.
  • Management of all social media presence on Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook, including all collaborative promotional efforts within the industry.

Qualifications include:

  • The ideal candidate will be an articulate, highly organized, and motivated individual capable of multi-tasking and working within a collaborative and creative environment.
  • Applicants should be thorough and detail-oriented, with proven ability to oversee multiple short and long-term efforts through to completion with minimal supervision.
  • Candidates should have +6 years of industry experience with strong industry contacts and an ability to understand and articulate Meier Partner’s specific design sensibility.
  • The position will require editing and graphic design skills, with a working knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Outstanding writing skills are essential in producing material for essays, lectures, speeches, marketing materials, press releases, and new business proposals.
