Architect Dallas Description

Location: Dallas
Position Title: Architect
Start Date: July 2021

MAIN PURPOSE AND FUNCTION
You will work with people in places where design services are historically not accessible, and with communities who normally do not have access to design. We are looking for a design focused architect with extensive technical delivery experience. You will be responsible for overall project delivery, from managing pre-design engagement activities, research, consultant coordination, schematic design in a number of mediums (sketch, model, digital), design development, construction documentation, construction administration and overall
project management .

Projects include the design and delivery of low rise medium density housing and design/documentation of a public space building. While the position is based in Dallas, it may support work in all of our offices and will engage in broader organizational discourse.

QUALIFICATIONS
• A commitment to people and place with a strong interest in public interest design.
• Curiosity
• Degree in architecture (B arch, M arch).
• State Licensed
• 8+ years’ experience: Architectural project delivery.
• Experience in residential and light commercial typologies.
• Technical proficiency
• Strong visual communication skills and graphic talent.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with direct civic engagement a plus, including but not limited to: organizing a design charrette or workshop, hosting a community forum.
• Proficiency in Archicad, Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite. (proficiency in archicad a plus)
• Eligible and authorized to work in the USA.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• Annual salary $70k+
