Spacesmith is seeking a talented and self-motivated candidate for a key position as an Intermediate Interior Designer to work full-time in the New York City office. We are a group of dynamic professionals who foster a vibrant and creative culture with opportunity for professional growth, involvement in varied project types and phases of the design process. 

The ideal designer will specialize in furniture, furnishings and materials using experience to enhance project delivery. They will manage product specifications from multiple manufacturers and monitor quality performance across the entire project process. This includes but is not limited to sourcing and selecting FF&E, as well as design and technical documentation skills.

They will also have good management and organization skills combined with the ability to communicate efficiently and collaborate in an interdisciplinary, deadline-driven atmosphere. They must be able to work on multiple tasks simultaneously, be a self-starter and acknowledge when additional input is needed. The position will include interface with the New York City office.


  • Professional degree in Architecture or Interior Design 
  • 3-8 years of experience in all phases of design, from schematic through construction administration, experience in workplace and/or retail encouraged.
  • Strong organizational, collaboration and communication skills 
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and collaborate in-house and with external consultants
  • Strong BIM 360 experience
  • Proficiency in Revit
  • Proficiency AutoCAD 
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suites and other necessary technical tools for the project 
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States with proficiency in the English language
