Midtown Manhattan Interior Design firm is seeking a detail-oriented financial administrator/bookkeeper to work closely with the owner, purchasing managers and office manager to manage and maintain project financial documents.

Duties include:

  • maintain and track project financials
  • process & expedite purchase orders
  • track and update status of purchases
  • review, post and reconcile financial documents from vendors, contractors, etc. including applications for payment, invoices, and change orders.
  • Work with purchasing managers and office manager to create, maintain, and issue financial reconciliations, financial reports and budgets, funding requests, etc.

The right candidate must be able to work quickly and efficiently, have the skills to work independently and the wisdom to know when to ask for guidance.  Individual must be well organized and have a propensity for details.


  • Accounting/ bookkeeping min 5 years’ experience or background strongly recommended
  • Familiarity with the interior design/architecture or related fields.
  • Familiarity with purchase orders, financial reports, budgets, etc.
  • Strong skills in the following programs:
    • Microsoft Excel
    • QuickBooks
    • Microsoft Word
    • Word Perfect
  • Familiarity with Photoshop a plus
  • Accounts receivable/payable experience
