ZWP International is a multidisciplinary architecture, interior design firm located in Irvine, California with a variety of diverse active commercial projects. ZWP International seeks a talented Senior Commercial Interior Designer with experience working with creatives in a fast-paced environment. You will be part of a small yet dynamic team of cross-functional specialists who work closely with architects and interiors across sectors from retail and commercial.  The position is focused on leading a team to the successful delivery of mid-to-large scale mixed-use projects domestically and internationally.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages day to day design concept/process consistent with the project’s program, budget, and time constraints
  • Responds to input and changes to project parameters by developing alternative design and maintains concept continuity
  • Facilitates in project scheduling, produces graphic presentations, and builds study models
  • Manages and coordinates the project delivery process for small-to-large scale projects
  • Establishes key work priorities for project development, scheduling and budgeting
  • Prepares working drawings and specifications for projects
  • Coordinates and communicates regularly with managers, consultants and team members regarding project status
  • Ensures work meets clients’ requirements, is timely and completed within budget
  • Provides design and technical guidance to junior staff

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design,  Architecture or a related design field
  • 10+ years of related experience 
  • Experience with retail/ commercial projects preferred 
  • Strong knowledge of the design process, including color and materials, furniture systems FF&E, and specifications
  • Ability to prioritize and concurrently service multiple projects
  • Maintains effective communication with project team members
  • Interacts well with other disciplines and clients in a manner that builds productive relationship
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Sketchup, Rhino, Adobe, Microsoft office
  • Good presentation skills
  • Willingness to occasional travel
