Building Studio Architects is seeking experienced, motivated, self-directed, proactive architects or architectural draftspersons. Our ideal candidate is organized, technically proficient in AutoCAD, knowledgeable about construction codes and standards, and is an excellent communicator. You will participate in all phases of projects from schematic design through construction documents and construction administration. You should be comfortable working on your own and with a team. Building Studio is a small, collaborative, diverse, collegial firm, where your contributions will be welcomed and complemented, and where you can grow personally and professionally. We support your development as an architect and welcome your creative input at all levels.  

Your responsibilities here will involve:

  • Code research and compliance documentation
  • Schematic design through project completion including Client communication
  • Drafting and custom-level detailing for small projects of various sizes primarily in NYC
  • New ground-up construction and renovations: commercial, institutional, residential
  • Custom and Spec-level Interiors
  • Administering junior staff: redlining and leading project teams
  • Coordinating engineering and other consultants 
  • Software skills required: Autocad, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite
  • Preferably some 3-D rendering experience
