Are you a Cal Poly SLO grad dreaming about finding your way back to the central coast? Or an architect professional looking to find your way out of the big city for a comfortable work life balance? We are located in the heart of wine country, in Paso Robles, CA, on California's central coast, located centrally between San Francisco and Los Angeles. Hambly Homes Architecture is a young + quickly growing, award winning, studio focusing on custom and semi-custom residential. We have a healthy mix of new ground up projects and various scale remodels. We work closely with our clients to find the right solutions for their home.  Our team of 4 is looking to add a driven team member to integrate into our studio.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in architecture.
  • Knowledge of design and permitting of custom single family residential
  • Revit proficiency
  • 4-10 years of relevant experience
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Located or willingness to relocate to Paso Robles / Central Coast.

DUTIES:
Successful candidates will work in collaboration with project teams and under the supervision of the firm principal. You will be an integral part of the production of architectural drawings from schematic design through construction documents in order convey ideas and concepts with graphical + professional clarity. Professional level of diligence, and evidence that you understand the value of double-checking, proofreading, asking questions, and otherwise paying attention to the job at hand is vital. Excellent organizational and communication skills including presentations.
Candidates should be versatile in listening to the design challenge and fluently translating that into several design solutions, all while working efficiently under deadlines. Communication is key, both within the office and with clients.
Optional and occasional travel.
