RELM is a mission-driven, landscape architecture and urban design studio based in DTLA.  Our 20-person studio is rapidly growing as we expand our reach outside of LA, throughout California, and across the United States.  We seek a Studio Coordinator to provide studio reception, executive support, and marketing coordination in a fast-paced, friendly environment.  You will be responsible for everything from answering phones and ordering supplies to supporting senior leaders with special projects, office operations, and marketing initiatives. This role is highly visible and critical to studio operations and culture.  You’ll work directly with RELM’s leadership to realize brand and financial success while interfacing with every staff member to ensure a dynamic and cooperative work environment is had.  Responsibilities are generally divided into two categories, studio coordinator and marketing support. 

Design Studio Coordinator Responsibilities

  • Supports day to day studio function
    • Answering phones; greeting guests (when RELM resumes post-COVID visits)
    • Oversees/maintains common areas 
    • Spearheads company culture activities, from happy hours to special events
    • Maintains relationships with outside vendors
    • Makes travel arrangement for design teams
    • Orders supplies
  • Executive Assistant for RELM President
    • Manages calendar, expenses, and travel 
    • Executes special assignments
  • Interfaces with Controller and assists as required with HR-related tasks and accounting needs

Marketing Coordinator Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with Communications Director in producing RFQ and RFP responses
  • Updates and maintains website, resumes, project sheets, and digital brochures under the direction of Communications Director
  • Supports RELM’s social media strategy—assisting with post creation and overseeing post scheduling
  • Works in conjunction with Communications Director and Senior Leaders to develop specialty collateral and strategy reports


  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) & Adobe Acrobat
  • Understanding of web-based communication platforms (Teams, Zoom, Go To Meeting)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrates high standards for work. Strong attention to detail and results
  • Invigorated by the constant change and fast pace of a high-growth organization
  • Ability to think proactively and execute quickly
  • Strong interpersonal skills and "can-do" attitude
  • Proficiency using Adobe Creative Suite (specifically InDesign) a plus
  • Proficiency with Instagram posting software a plus
