Studio AR&D Architects is a Los Angeles based architecture firm that offers a creative and collaborative work environment with a growing portfolio of work that seeks to be both poetic and meaningful in every detail.

We are a small firm which provides the opportunity for all team members to touch all aspects of each project from concept through construction.  Projects include high-end residential, hotel | hospitality, interior architecture, and landscape.

Currently, we are seeking an Operations/Project Manager with the skills, vision and character to  support on-going growth at Studio AR&D. This role will require monitoring and advising on all issues related to client communication, quality control, office standards, scheduling work-flow, and overseeing project managers. The Operations Manager will support and collaborate with the firm principal in providing strategic leadership, meeting financial goals and project performance.

Primary day-today responsibilities are to provide clear communication to clients, document project statuses, attend and participate in project meetings, and serve all project teammates. The project manager must not only interact with their internal team members within the office but with numerous consultants in different disciplines, and most importantly, the client. 

Work tasks include creating and maintaining project schedules, communicating with internal team to make sure project is running on schedule, direct daily management of project operations and delivery, and most importantly, weekly communication of project schedule and overall project status to all clients.

This is a new position we are implementing within our company. Duties and tasks will remain fluid while we work through this position.

Requirements -

  • Minimum 8 years experience from design through construction documents and construction administration
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design or another related field
  • Proficiency in Revit & AutoCAD
  • Extensive knowledge of architectural principles/practices and construction.
  • Understanding of the documentation and production of instruments of service
  • Coordination skills: consultants, schedule, construction administration, etc.
  • Ability to create checklists, spreadsheets, use project management software (e.g. Asana)
  • Ability to multi-task while maintaining a high level of detail and accuracy
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines and deliver
  • Reliable transportation to travel to and from job sites upon request
  • High organizational skills to be able to access information quickly and interact with other disciplines effectively and efficiently.
  • Superior leadership skills with the ability to self-manage

Nice to have -

  • Experience working on high end residential architecture, hotel | hospitality & interior architecture 
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
