We are looking for an Architectural Designer with great energy, self-motivated, an aptitude for learning new skills, and a positive mindset - while also bringing in their unique design talents and technical expertise.  Excellent communication skills are required as we talk out loud sharing project progress, tips, ideas and what’s on our minds in our very collaborative office environment. This is a full-time, salaried position.

Architectural Designer Job Responsibilities:

  • Produce architectural drawings and documentation using Revit
  • Participate in all phases of architectural practice
  • Assist with design conception, development and construction documents including other duties as assigned
  • Commitment to completing tasks AND be able to communicate to team out loud to resolve dilemmas
  • Occasional on-site client visits, meetings, observations, field verification and documentation
  • Support in-house team
  • Clearly communicate effectively with clients and sub-contractors

Architectural Designer Required Skills:

  • Accredited professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch)
  • At least 2 years of current Architectural Designer experience in corporate office interiors and commercial projects
  • Required technical skills: Revit (mandatory), Photoshop, Excel
  • Real-time imaging experience with Twinmotion/Unreal Engine (a plus)
  • Some knowledge of basic California Building Codes; Architectural and Interior Design Standards
  • Ability to read plans, elevations and sections and draft from hand sketches and/or redlines
  • Ability to work well under pressure, juggle and prioritize multiple projects and adjust work accordingly, often against tight deadlines
  • Demonstrate strong English fluency in verbal, written and visual communication skills with all levels of employees, clients, reps, sub-contractors, local agencies
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. permanently without need for employee sponsorship
  • Must have reliable car and current valid CA (or other state) driver’s license to drive to project sites

The position will currently require as-needed visits to the studio office including remote work, while gradually increasing in-person office work hours to full-time, in alignment with Santa Clara County reopening tiers.
