Job Summary:

We are seeking an Architect II/Designer/Project Manager with 6-8 years of residential design and construction experience.  Candidates should be team oriented, have excellent interpersonal skills, and be based in the Los Angeles area. Project experience with a strong emphasis in residential both single and multi-family; modern design is preferred.  Knowledge of and experience with sustainable design is a big bonus.  The position is virtual for the time being, with in person meetings as needed in our factory or design office.

Responsibilities Include:

·         Design and execution of construction documents from schematic phase through construction administration, including permitting.

·         Working independently with minimal supervision and working well within a team, directing junior staff, and collaborating with the Studio Manager.

·         Communication and coordination with clients, consultants, fabrication engineers, and site contractors.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

·         Professional degree in Architecture, B.Arch or M.Arch.

·         Minimum of 6 years residential architectural office experience.

·         Working knowledge of CA Building, Residential, and zoning codes.

·         Licensed Architect or working toward licensure is preferred, not required.

·         Proficiency in Revit (5 years minimum a must), AutoCAD (Basic), Sketchup, Enscape, Bluebeam, Microsoft Suite.

·         Working knowledge of sustainable and/or prefab construction is a plus.

·         Demonstrated knowledge of residential construction including means and methods, and advanced problem-solving skills.

·         Expert verbal and written communication skills, with team members, clients, and consultants.

·         An eye for detail and a desire to perform at a high level. 

·         A self-starter who takes initiative and responsibility for their work and actions.

·         Comfort with a small firm environment and a sense of humor.

·         Experience with construction cost estimating and/or construction management is a plus.

·         A strong desire to wed profit and purpose.
