GTC Design is seeking more talented design creatives to join our fast-paced team. We are looking for self-motivated and disciplined individuals that are well-rounded with a basic understanding of the technical aspects of architecture and construction. Candidates will be expected to efficiently execute work on one or more projects throughout various phases of the design process, delegated to them by the Project Leaders.

You will be given the opportunity to work on all levels of design such as master planning, feasibility studies, conceptual and schematic design, as well as construction documentation and administration. 

Projects will vary in size and typology, from residential and commercial design in both new construction and existing building improvements.

Competitive pay will be dependent on experience.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s of Architecture or Professional Degree from an accredited college required

  • 1 - 6 years of experience required

  • Ability and desire to obtain a professional license in the near future required

  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Sketchup, Bluebeam, Adobe Suites required

  • Strong design sensibilities 

  • Excellent verbal/written skills required

  • Fun and positive outlook, strong work ethic, collaborative, productive, and motivated

  • Flexibility to travel (moderate) required

  • Experience with residential projects preferred such as single-family and multi-family developments.

  • Ability to obtain NCARB Certification preferred

  • LEED GA or AP preferred

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Developing project documents (e.g. calculations, reports and construction drawings and specifications, etc.) to client, regulatory, and industry standards.

  • Coordinating with other disciplines and other internal and external team members (e.g. vendors, clients, and contractors).

  • Researching architectural materials and methods as required.

  • Working with the Lead Architect and clients to assess needs and develop an associated project program.

  • Developing conceptual designs and coordinating with the design team at the direction of the Lead Architect.

  • Developing the BIM model for design concepts, coordinating with the BIM Coordinator and all other internal and external project team members.

  • Participating in discipline-related internal and external project communication and coordination.

  • Setting goals and executing them concerning professional development.

  • Traveling as required for client development and project execution.
