Foubister Architects is seeking an experienced, highly motivated, and organized individual to join our growing team. There will be an array of responsibilities and skills associated with the role, most notably running a project from schematic through CA.


  • Bring the napkin sketch to a fully coordinated drawing set.
  • Proficient and have a solid understanding of building construction and the different components.
  • Interact with zoning/building/fire/health departments to secure entitlements.
  • Conduct site visits, create observation reports, and close-out.
  • Manage consultants, provide direction and guidance to junior staff. 
  • Provide updates and insight to Principal and Project Manager on the project details.


  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in technical and design production.
  • Ability to demonstrate full knowledge of industry practices and a proven track record of quality control on progressively more complex and diverse assignments.
  • Experience in construction document preparation, knowledge of building materials, specifications and construction techniques.
  • Must have thorough understanding of construction administration requirements.
  • Experience in dealing with governmental agencies and building/zoning codes and appropriate knowledge of engineering disciplines to evaluate and coordinate work done by consultants.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as time management skills. 
  • Understanding of sustainable practices and industry standards.

Ideal skillset; 

Proficient in Revit and ACAD, Sketchup, Office, 

Rendering: Vray, Twinmotion, or Enscape

A degree in Architecture, preferable at the graduate level, related field or equivalent experience required.
