FF&E RESIDENTIAL PROJECT DESIGNER
NICOLEHOLLIS, an award-winning, large size Interior Design firm seeks a talented and motivated FF&E Project Designer to assist our Residential Design Team.
The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of experience in residential interior design, focusing on high-end residential design.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
Research and analysis of the client's goals and requirements; development of documents, drawings and diagrams that outline those needs. Ability to interact effectively with the design team on multiple projects
Formulate preliminary space plans and two- and three-dimensional design concept studies and sketches that integrate the client's needs and are based on knowledge of the principles of interior design and theories of human behavior
Oversee the implementation of interior design solutions for each project from concept stage through installation
Confirm that preliminary space plans and design concepts are safe, functional, aesthetically appropriate, and meet all public health, safety and welfare requirements
Select colors, materials and finishes to appropriately convey the design concept, functional, life-cycle performance, environmental, and safety requirement
Manage the interior design resource library and maintain vendor contacts for interior furnishings, fixtures and finishes
Select and specify furniture, fixtures, equipment including layout drawings and detailed product description; and provision of contract documentation to facilitate pricing, procurement and installation of furniture
Prepare specifications and schedules with accurate product information for all furniture, lighting and finishes
Coordination and collaboration with other design professionals who may be retained to provide consulting services, including but not limited to architects; structural, mechanical and electrical engineers, and various specialty consultants
Observation and reporting on the implementation of projects and punch list items while in progress and upon completion, as a representative of and on behalf of the client
Prepare presentation decks including mood imagery and 2D and 3D renderings
SKILLS
Degree in Interior Design
Minimum of 4 years interior design experience
Excellent presentation skills, including space planning and drawing
Experience selecting and specifying lighting, furnishings, hardware, floor/window coverings, materials, and finishes
Ability to interact effectively with the design team on multiple projects
Experience with purchasing and budgets
Knowledge of trade resources and vendors, SF Design Center a plus
Proficiency in AutoCAD, AutoCAD LT
Ability to read a set of construction documents and section details
Ability to create and manage Excel spreadsheets
Proficiency in of Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop
Knowledge of and/or ability to learn timekeeping and billing software
Experience with Studio Designer Preferred
