Hello! AWA is a boutique architecture firm specializing in educational projects in Southern California, from early education to university level buildings and facilities. AWA is celebrating 30 years in business, originally founded by Jean Amador, AIA in 1991, a SCIARC alumnus. 

This position is full-time, currently remote, but with the future of working in our physical office located in Agoura Hills, settled into the foothills of the Santa Monica mountains. 

 Applicant’s qualifications ideally include: 

1. A professional degree in architecture from a NAAB accredited school (we support licensure expenses) 
2. Three years minimum working in architecture, bonus if experienced with educational projects 
3. Current residence in LA or Ventura County, ability to visit construction sites
4. Joy in organized workflows and works cleanly in Revit
5. Joy in learning about building technology, California material and construction techniques, and architectural details
6. BIPOC and LGBTQIA enthusiastically encouraged to apply

 We pay competitively for excellent and detail oriented work. The full-time position includes health insurance benefits, paid holidays, vacation time, and retirement contributions. Our principals are directly active on all projects, creating a rewarding experience from programming and concept design to construction documents, agency approvals and construction administration.
