Role

We’re looking for Senior Architects and Architectural Designers to join our growing architecture team.  You will lead the effort on creating drawing sets for permitting and construction that comply with code requirements and maintain Made’s design intent for each project.  You will manage relationships with external contractors and review drawings sets to ensure the quality of the drawings.  You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are willing to challenge the status quo in project delivery.  You’re tech-savvy, great at Revit, and have a strong interest in leveraging design technology to improve processes.    

Responsibilities:

• Leading the creation of drawing sets for permitting and construction based on Made’s design guidelines
• Managing external contractors and reviewing drawing sets for code compliance and design intent
• Facilitating permitting and construction processes
• Willingness to roll up your sleeves and do whatever is necessary; owner mentality

Basic Requirements:

• Accredited degree in Architecture (Bachelors or Masters)
• Fluency in Revit and AutoCAD required
• 3+ years of architecture and design experience including work in residential spaces
• Familiar with IBC & IRC code requirements
• Entrepreneurial spirit and desire to break the status quo
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to thrive in an ambiguous, fast-paced setting
• Proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
• Results-oriented, makes things happen, ability to move fast, innovate and simplify
• Entrepreneurial mindset, with the tenacity to develop ideas independently and take ownership
• Tech-savvy and ability to learn and adopt new tools quickly

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5 years of experience
• Registered architect with a California state license OR currently pursuing licensure with previous experience working under a California state licensed architect on residential projects
• Experience with parametric modeling and BIM a plus
