Roger Ferris + Partners is seeking a high-performing, self-motivated interior designers for a fulltime position within our main office in Westport, CT. Candidates must have an accredited degree in interior design or another related field of study and not less than five (5) years of experience working with high-end, residential project types in the modern idiom. Candidates will be immersed in a collaborative and supportive studio culture with high expectations for design and creative excellence. Candidates will be responsible for balancing the needs of multiple projects while working closely with Studio leadership and project teams in developing thoughtful approaches to interior architecture and client presentations. Candidates must possess an extensive knowledge of styles, materials, furniture and finishes and exhibit a strong organizational skillset. Candidates will be expected to develop conceptual image boards, source material, develop all manner of interior finish and FF&E schedules and specifications, management procurement and oversee FF&E installations. Candidates must have a refined eye for design and detailing. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.
Experience and Qualifications:
Legal status to work in the US, including a valid working permit and/or visa
Completion of an accredited program in interior or another related field of study
Not less than five (5) years of professional experience with high-end, notable residential projects and world-class commercial projects in the modern idiom
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
Extensive knowledge of styles, materials, furniture and finishes
Highly collaborative and able to contribute positively to a diverse team
Strong problem-solving skills and an innate desire to produce meaningful work
Meticulous, detail-oriented and well organized
Exceptional time management skills
A flexible and open attitude towards different working methods
Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit
Expertise with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel
Knowledge of and proficiency in Sketch-Up
Advanced knowledge of and proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop, Illustrator and In-Design
Software Proficiency:
