Panzica Building Corporation, established in 1955, is a regional, architect-founded, architect-led, design/build firm with a reputation for creating well-planned, aesthetically pleasing, quality-constructed building solutions our Registered Architect "master builders" control from concept to completion.

We are located in the very livable city of South Bend, Indiana, home to the University of Notre Dame.

Current work includes medical, luxury mid-rise multi-family, senior living, technical / food processing / industrial, education and corporate office projects.

The firm is seeking a talented, experienced Senior Project Architect eager to take part in Integrated Project Delivery to help lead our long-established and growing firm to the next level. There is an opportunity to become a firm principal as the current principals near semi-retirement.

The position will involve:

  • Communicate, interpret and accurately document the client’s needs in a program format
  • Initiate concepts and alternative solutions through the design process
  • Individually prepare drawings and specifications for development of a project solution
  • Certify construction documents when prepared by you or under your direct supervision
  • Coordinate other consulting project professionals and procure all pertinent project data, site information and code requirements necessary to proper execution of the work
  • Lead a design/build team with in-house construction managers, oversee and coordinate the construction contract process, overall project scheduling and construction administration phase
  • Monitor quality assurance standards, meet budgets and deliver goals for assigned projects
  • Perform periodic field inspections of assigned work in progress and document pertinent observations, prepare punch lists, conduct and participate in meetings as appropriate
  • Assist in the creation of budgets and schedules for new design projects
  • Interact with clients throughout the process to ensure project needs and goals are met.

Software skills required include:

  • Autocad
  • Revit
  • Adobe Creative Suite
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Procore


  • Active USA (NCARB preferred but not required) Professional Architect registration with adequate knowledge of the principles and practices of the profession and at least five (5) years' registered practice experience
  • Thorough practical knowledge of USA construction technology, building codes and the firm’s design standards, completely familiar with design in US Customary English measurement system and legally able to work in the USA
  • A basic understanding of AIA contract documents and company contracting methods
  • Verbal and writing English skills to communicate effectively with clients and fellow professionals
  • General knowledge of USA business, financial, legal and project management matters
  • A professional demeanor fostering respect and confidence from clients, vendors and staff
