CKMS is Seeking a candidate with 5+ years’ experience in all aspects of design coordination, project management, technical detailing, accessibility, and building codes, zoning a plus. Experience in building and planning in New York City and State is preferred. A good design sense and strong communication skills are required.

Project Management Requirements 70%
Advanced knowledge of design process, construction documentation, construction administration, and materials
Familiar with building codes, permitting, specifications, building, and engineering systems
Work with governing agencies on obtaining building permits documenting code review and approvals
Coordinate with consultants, contractors, fabricators, and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives
Perform regular site visits to ensure design intent is accurately reflected
Understands project financial management and contract administration, including project coordination, budgeting, scheduling, and contract negotiations
Prepares and negotiates client and consultant proposals, fees, schedules, and contracts.
Defines, monitors and maintains control of the scope of work and services for the project including project schedule and work plan.
Ability to forecast and organize project design development and production delivery
Establishes, maintains, and documents regular project-related meetings including client, internal team, and consultant meetings.
Ensures the orderly and complete preparation, distribution, and retention of all project written records.
Considers risk management by monitoring client issues and technical issues in a timely manner to minimize liability.
