Job responsibilities include:
4 or more years of professional experience in an interior design firm
Bachelor's or master’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture
Self-motivated, proactive, flexible, and ability to meet project timelines. "Quick" person
Knowledge and computer skills include AutoCAD, Sketch up, rendering capabilities a plus, and Adobe Programs
Interior design & decoratives management of a project from the design phase through installation
Maintenance of materials library and vendor list, research of new vendors, galleries, designers, going to new showrooms etc.
Developing and maintaining a furnishings budget, preparing and tracking furniture orders
Sourcing of plumbing, hardware, fabrics, architectural and decorative finishes
Specifying furnishings and fabrics in schedules
Coordination with clients, millworkers, furniture vendors, including design/management of custom furniture fabrication
Preparation of furniture plans, interior design elevations and detailed custom furniture drawings
Daily communication with internal architecture team and head designer
