NANO LLC is an award-winning, New Orleans-based firm specializing in architecture, interior design and custom furniture. Our firm focuses on both residential and commercial architecture, either new construction or renovations, in addition to historic renovations and interior design. We design for projects of small, medium, and large sizes.

NANO LLC is currently seeking to hire an Architectural Designer with 3-5 years professional experience to join our growing team in our MidCity office.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Site measurements and as-built documentation
• Assisting Project Manager and/or Project Lead in producing all aspects of schematic, design development and construction drawings and details
• Picking up redlines
• Assisting Project Manager and/or Project Lead with Building and Life Safety code research
• Assisting Project Manager and/or Project Lead to generate project design schedules
• Adhering to time and cost budgets
• Coordinating all consultant work in Revit and/or AutoCAD
• Organization of Revit/AutoCAD files and templates
• Participation in client meetings and communication (attendance, meeting notes, action items, follow up, etc.)
• Assisting Project Manager and/or Project Lead with communications and preparing applications with Authorities Having Jurisdiction
• Assisting Project Manager and/or Project Lead during Construction Administration and construction professionals during the Construction Phase of projects
• Creating photo-realistic renderings for clients and marketing purposes
• General office upkeep (filing, break room, building product resource library)

The successful candidate will have:

• Bachelor and/or Master of Architecture (Licensed/Registered Architect NOT required)
• 3-5 years of project experience working for an architecture firm, preferably in an assistant project lead role on small and medium size jobs.
• Attention to detail and strong communication skills
• Advanced experience with Revit (candidates without Revit skills will not be considered)
• Experience with AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Bluebeam Revu and MS Office
• A passion to help solve problems and find alternate solutions
• Ability to translate design ideas into clear and concise details and construction documents
• Strong teamwork, problem solving and organizational skills
• Working knowledge of building codes, standards, building construction and structure
• Ability to take direction as well as delegate, take initiative and work both independently or on a team, depending on the project type and magnitude
