We are exclusively representing an award winning, boutique residential and hospitality design firm. They are looking for their next great leader to lead and contribute to a variety of projects; custom residential, multi-family residential and hospitality work. Current projects on the boards are an estate in california, luxury NYC and metro custom residential, restaurant/club and a domestic luxury mix-use property.
Execute design direction as provided by Chief Designer to produce all necessary architectural documents, shop drawings and construction drawing sets (to be sent to licensed architect for final approval)
Assist Studio Director with preparation of presentations for regular clients meetings during design development through installation; also attend the meetings
Build and maintain relationships with vendors, contractors and sub-contractors while ensuring quality of final product for client
Coordinate and attend regular site meetings
Communicate with vendors and sub contractors to verify necessity of any proposed change orders
Review opportunities to improve the design process and effectiveness of the department; including diligence with the fiscal responsibility of time billing to the client on behalf of the company
Daily communication about workload for junior staff; follow up on productivity and progress
Develop schedules for projects (i.e., lighting, electrical, fixtures, etc.)
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in architecture and minimum three years experience in same position
Strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills
Proficient in AutoCAD
Ability to prioritize and schedule work flow in a deadline driven environment
Strategic leader with creative vision that is both modern and classic
Ability to work 40+ hours/week; minor travel involved
Base salary in the $80-100k range, full benefits and bonus potential.
