We are looking for a talented team member to assist in the development of interiors concepts for our multifamily residential studio. The candidate will work on interior design, development, and delivery with a small team and report directly to the interiors lead. He or she will have experience completing high-standard interior projects throughout the project lifespan. The role requires a comprehensive understanding of spatial design and an eye for materiality, color, and detail.

Candidate Responsibilities

  • Ability in assembling 3D views of interiors for client presentation
  • Ability to coordinate with external consultant teams
  • Proficient in Revit, Sketch-up, Rhino, AutoCAD, Photoshop, Indesign, and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent design, visualization, organization, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Be familiar with interior budget, scope and contract deliverables.
  • Correspond with vendors regarding feasibility of interior finishes and FF&E.
  • Works well both individually and collaboratively
  • Assist in the preparation of contract documentation and specifications
  • Develop space planning and layouts of interiors in line with client and code requirements
  • Produce materials palettes, detail drawings, FF&E selections, and specification and procurement documentation
  • Manage the project materials library

Candidate Role Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Interior Design or related field at a minimum
  • 4 years minimum experience in concept design, space planning, detailing, FF&E, and construction administration
  • Support development of designs with high-quality visualizations including diagrams, sketches, drawings, and 3D renderings
  • Work collaboratively with technical consultants, project managers, engineers and other stakeholders
  • Work on multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously
  • Take initiative and ownership in completing project tasks
  • Bring design sensibility, craftsmanship, and thoroughness to your work
  • Maintain an organized content workflow throughout production consistent with studio standards and procedures
  • Legal working status in the US
  • Current or imminent residency in the NYC region
