RDC is an award-winning architectural firm with a diverse portfolio of work.  We are currently seeking a Project Manager to work with our Store Planning team. The ideal candidate will have experience working on retail and commercial projects. The position requires digital graphics experience, hand-drawing ability, knowledge of commercial and retail design, good communication skills, and an ability to thrive in a team environment. The ideal candidate needs to be passionate, energetic, fast, and industrious.

Position Summary:

The Project Manager is responsible for directing all design, technical, and administrative efforts, to assure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned work in pursuit of design excellence. Serves as the primary client liaison and is responsible to complete projects to satisfy the client’s goals. Actively manages project schedules, programs, documentation, and team assignments.   Utilizes regularly updated work plans to identify staffing needs and communicates projections to operations leadership.  Estimates fees, determines the scope of work, and negotiates with clients to obtain approved contracts. 

 Qualifications Include:

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture from an accredited program 
  • 8 years of retail experience/background with a national retail chain and/or AOR firm
  • Proven experience in-store planning and program management
  • Advanced knowledge of architectural detailing and current construction standards. 
  • Advanced understanding of architectural design and related fields.
  • Advanced knowledge of agency review process and ability to successfully complete the entitlement and permitting process.
  • Advanced knowledge of construction contract administration processes.
  • Advanced leadership communication abilities required to collaborate with client and development team. 
  • Working knowledge of Revit (latest version) and other business software and their application to contract documents.
