We are an integrated firm which our professional roster consist of architects, interior designers, planners, urban designers, landscape architects, graphic designers, construction specification writers, construction economists, environmental analysts, resiliency experts, traffic and transportation engineers, and several other professional disciplines. 

The Opportunity: Perkins Eastman is seeking a temporary dynamic and strategic marking leader for our Stamford office.  This leader will be responsible for setting priorities, strategizing pursuits, preparing business development reports, and providing quality control for all marketing deliverables. 

Primary Responsibilities:
• Lead, develop, and mentor the team
• Work with principals and practice area leaders to identify and track targets and leads and to prepare weekly business development reports
• Facilitate a proactive business development effort in collaboration with the principals in the office; runs the weekly office business development meeting
• Set proposal strategy with the principals
• Work with presentation teams to strategize and rehearse for presentations
• Create content as required for specific proposals, qualifications, brochures, presentations, etc.
• Provide review and quality control of proposals, presentations, award submissions, etc.
• Promote the visibility of Perkins Eastman in the Region through local public relations (with firmwide communications staff) and leading our participation in local events
• Coordinate the local photography and awards 
• Assist with drafting and implementing the strategic plan for the office, and with the office’s participation in specific firmwide practice area plans (Senior Living, Corporate Interiors, Residential, Large Scale, Higher Ed, K-12, Hospitality)
• Provides coaching in marketing and business development skills for office staff members
• Responsible for the organization of marketing resources, including the proposal files, marketing databases, and other electronic and physical resources that may be available
• Leads data gathering initiative to update resumes, reference information, project information, and consultant/vendor information
• Attend local industry events and build relationships with consultants

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Arts in Architecture, Interior Design, Marketing, Communications or related field.
• 5 years of relevant experience working in the AEC Industry is preferred
• Leadership: ability to be the local leader of the marketing and business development process, to set a vision and motivate 
• Strategic: ability to position the firm for a specific project or target market
• Industry: understanding of the business of architecture and design
• Client/customer service: understanding of marketing as a service to the office
• Communications: ability to speak and write clearly
• Organizational: ability to organize a document, a production process, a department
• Teamwork: works as a member of a team, pitches in to help out others
• Software: Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, Deltek Vision
