DSEA is a growing boutique firm located next to the historic plaza in Old Towne Orange. We specialize in childcare centers, hospitality, restaurants, educational buildings, retail & commercial centers, healthcare, senior housing, and single and multi-family residences. We also have expertise in historic preservation. We utilize BIM through 3D modeling software on our projects which allows us to ensure an exceptionally high level of accuracy and through documentation of our designs.

Our office is a casual family atmosphere with a supportive environment for all employees to aspire to achieving their personal and professional goals. We are located within walking distance to the restaurants and shops that Old Towne Orange is so well known for.

We are seeking energetic, goal-driven candidates to join our team. Individuals need to be eager to learn, willing to take on the many roles and responsibilities that boutique firms demand and be able to work collaboratively through all phases of our projects. The minimum requirements we expect candidates to have are the following:

Job Captain:

  • Bachelor or Master of Architecture degree from an accredited institution.
  • 2-5 years of experience working in an architectural firm.
  • BIM software experience, all platforms. ArchiCAD expertise is a plus, but Revit, Rhino, etc. is acceptable.

Project Manager:

  • Bachelor or Master of Architecture degree from an accredited institution.
  • 5 years + of experience working in an architecture firm.
  • Coordination of all aspects of architectural project development.
  • Budgets
  • Project scheduling
  • BIM software experience all platforms. ArchiCAD expertise is a plus, but Revit, Rhino etc. is acceptable.

In addition to these minimum requirements we would ideally like this person to have the following skills:

  • Strong sense of design (We need you to be able to quickly and effectively show massing and planning concepts)
  • Ability to develop a project from conceptual design through construction documents in a BIM environment.
  • Experience in communicating with clients, contractors, consultants, and agency representatives.
  • Excellent organization skills.
  • Field experience – job site experience coordinating projects through the construction phase.
