Amie Gross Architects (AGA), a recognized leader in the design of affordable and supportive multi-family housing, and community-based buildings, is seeking to add a part-time, 3- day a week, Administrator to join their team in their Long Island City, NY office. Qualified applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree and have 3-5 years of administrative experience.  

AGA is a full-service architectural firm that has been designing in diverse urban communities since 1984. We are strongly committed to using architecture to help address social inequity through housing / healthcare / educational / mixed-use projects. Our work includes award winning, new, and renovated buildings, and planning studies. The successful applicant will have skills that will allow for a professional development experience in our fast-paced, collaborative environment and the opportunity to work on various strategic and administrative projects which support the President’s efforts to sustain the growth and success of the firm.  

Job description includes the following responsibilities: please note these may change over time: 

  • Serve as trusted assistant to the AGA President 
  • Office administration  
  • Liaise with the AGA’s Professional Employer Organization 
  • Strategic support for Marketing efforts on behalf of AGA 
  • Consult on community outreach for Promotional efforts 

The ideal candidate will have the following expertise: 

  • Anticipation of executive needs and follow through on details  
  • A developed visual acuity 
  • Identify trends and opportunities for areas of growth for the organization 
  • Manage Digital Marketing platforms 
  • Proficient in MS Office and Adobe Acrobat Creative Suite 

In order to qualify you must have the following attributes: 

A good sense of humor; strong organizational skills, deep verbal and written communication skills; problem solving abilities; enjoy working with others; able to accept directions and ask critical questions; and ability to work independently as well as in team settings.
