EZ Plans, a fast growing, innovative, residential architecture firm based in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, seeks a motivated, energetic California licensed architect to manage and lead a small team of junior architects. Under the leadership of the Principal Architect, the Senior Project Architect will engage in the planning, design and production of construction documents for architectural projects. This position will provide daily direction to the architecture core team that includes a Project Manager, Project Leads/Job Captains and the Design/Technical Support Staff to ensure the successful and timely delivery of architectural projects and services. 

The core functions will encompass essential duties, such as direct contact with clients and consultants; reviewing and monitoring the projects’ development to meet milestones and budget requirements; project design with presentations, CD production and oversight; code analysis and the clear understanding of the various city plan check and planning processes.  

Candidate will be capable and familiar with City of Los Angeles residential zones and building envelope analysis, process of various overlay zones, including historic reviews, as well as additional advance management level tasks to successfully support and guide the core team.  Candidate must have experience in Formal Planning Reviews, Hillside design and construction, Feasibility Studies, and have strong familiarity with Structural design drawings

This full time position will support the company’s efficient delivery of architecture services with a strong focus on quality control and customer service


  • Licensed Architect and Accredited Degree in Architecture desired.
  • 10 to 15 years minimum architectural design and production experience
  • 5 years minimum managing residential projects in Southern California
  • Proficient in AutoCAD
  • Proficient in code analysis, especially with regard to Type V construction
  • Experience in the efficient preparation of construction documents.
  • Ability to multi-task and schedule work with multiple deadlines.
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Experience leading and managing a team.
  • Superior communication and organization skills.
  • US citizen or authorized to work in the US.
  • Salary will be based upon experience.
