DBI’s long term client has grown into the world's leading design consultant for the hospitality, leisure and entertainment industries.  Working across design strategy, planning, urban design, architecture, landscape, and interior design, our client supports the global tourism and resort destinations industry.

The Los Angeles location is hiring a Senior Vice President.

This role will oversee all professional services (architecture, interiors, planning and consulting).  The right candidate will lead by demonstrating professional skills, high standards, sound judgment and professionalism.

Required Experience:

· Have substantial experience in professionally managing built projects of all sizes and levels of complexity, completing on time, within budget and with an understanding of profitability

· Ability to market successfully while identifying new leads, continuously building long-term relationships

· The right candidate much be recognized as an expert

· Have proven ability to create a collaborative environment

· Must understand the industry, specifically the contractual, financial and risk principles

· The candidate must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and diplomacy

· Success in this role is based on the candidate’s ability to problem-solve and employ sound judgment

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

· This position requires a minimum of a B.S. or B.A. and 15+ years

· Experience in designing and building large US architectural projects, including urban and resort hotels or mixed-use entertainment is required

· An architecture license is imperative

· It is essential for the Senior Leader to have proven successful client management, marketing, proposal creation, and negotiation experience

· The ideal candidate will have successfully proven leadership experience, excellent communication and the ability to manage multiple priorities

· Must consistently achieve high standards and goals

· Proven experience in motivating and inspiring others is essential

· Presentation skills are required

· Travel is required.
