Responsibilities:

Programming through Construction Documents: 

  1. Coordinates production of documents and ensures design intent is maintained throughout design development, construction documents, specifications and construction administration including coordination of all finishes. 
  2. Manages projects and communicates interior design ideas and solutions through hand sketching and informal presentations.  
  3. Coordinates with consultants, contractors, fabricators, specification writers, and design team members.  
  4. Must work well in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and be able to work well with others.  
  5. Must be able to design and produce documents and details for each project including test fits and marketing documents. 
  6. Report to Principals for day to day functional responsibilities for overall direction and approvals. 
  7. Advocates design and is able to conceptualize design, and/or advance the concept technically or managerially. 
  8. Demonstrates a high level of skill in design, technical coordination, or project management. 
  9. Is able to research and evaluate design materials, products and construction methods.

Construction Administration: 

  1. Serve as primary point of contact for GC
  2.  Proactively coordinate with GC, fabricators, manufacturers, consultants, etc., as needed
  3. Leads RFIs and submittals, coordinating with Principals on design direction
  4.  Attend construction meetings, conduct field visits and generate field reports
  5. Notify PM & Principals about all signed/seal documents before distribution
  6.  Know the contractor’s contractual responsibilities
  7. Mentor and direct junior staff for CA tasks

Qualifications & Experience:

  1. 8-10 years of experience – commercial interiors, hospitality and/or multifamily preferred
  2. Professional Architecture Degree
  3. Architecture License preferred not required
  4.  High degree of proficiency in 2D/3D software, including Revit and AutoCAD
  5.  High level of skill in interior architecture, technical coordination and documentation/construction administration
  6. Motivated, self-starter with ability to work well under pressure, juggle and prioritize multiple projects and adjust work accordingly, often against tight deadlines
  7. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam Revu
