Role Description

Licensed architect who plans and develops projects with many complexities. Manages, organizes and coordinates project teams and assignments to complete interior and architecture projects. Responsible for ensuring that production of construction documents are in concert with design intent, and responsible for project schedules and budgets. Resolves complex technical/design issues and provides guidance to the team. Coordinates communication between project team, sub-contractors and other disciplines. Conducts code analyses and acts as a primary point of contact with jurisdictions. Conducts on-site observations and prepares Architect’s field reports. Responsible for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating assignments. Plans and develops architectural projects that significantly impact major company programs. Involves exploration of subject area, definition of scope, selection of items for investigation, and development of novel concepts and methods. Responsible for document coordination and design detailing. Performs submittal reviews during construction, maintains RFI and submittal logs.

Qualifications

  • Registered Architect with 8+ years of project experience in an architectural practice
  • Professional Degree in Architecture from an accredited program
  • Experience in all phases of architecture and engineering, including substantial and varied experience in project planning
  • Experience in all project phases, from strategic planning and programming through construction and post occupancy phases
  • Strong experience in construction document preparation and field operations
  • Knowledge of building materials, building codes, specifications, construction techniques, interior detailing and millwork design
  • Experience with building codes, ADA requirements, zoning and generally knowledgeable in jurisdictional processes
  • Sufficient knowledge of engineering disciplines to coordinate work
  • Competent in business writing and communication skills
  • Proficient in REVIT, AutoCAD, Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office
  • Possess 3-D computer modeling skills (Sketchup, 3D Max, Rhino, etc)
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, and staff
  • Strong interpersonal skills with all levels of management and staff
  • Excellent organizational skills
