Rowland+Broughton Architecture / Urban Design / Interior Design is a progressive, high-design firm of more than 40 design professionals. With studios in Aspen and Denver, Colorado, our combined mountain and urban sensibilities inform and enhance a wide spectrum of projects, including custom residential, commercial, hospitality, interior design, and new town and institutional master planning.

The BIM Manager is ultimately responsible for developing and implementing BIM strategies, training and standards. This position is a hybrid role overseeing BIM technologies as well as working on teams as a Project Architect. This position can be based in either Aspen or Denver, Colorado.



  • Assist development and implementation of BIM Project Execution Plans
  • Provide advanced modeling and content creation assistance to project teams as needed
  • Assist in model coordination between architecture teams and external consultants.
  • Responsible for overseeing digital project startup and setting up all Revit projects using firm templates and standards


  • Responsible for firm BIM standards / best practices development, implementation, and enforcement on all Revit projects and associated content
  • Develop and maintain Revit templates and content libraries in accordance with firm standards
  • Conduct quality control model reviews with project teams
  • Knowledge of additional 3D modeling/rendering platforms and their inter-operability with Revit is a plus.
  • Coordinate and/or conduct live Revit training and presentations (basic through advanced level)
  • Conduct continuing education on new Revit processes and techniques


  • Interface with IT to provide technical support, manage licensing and software subscription services and hardware requirement
  • Maintain legacy software versions and customize software for specific firm needs
  • Assist third-party IT consultant to resolve technical issues for individuals and teams
  • Must be self-motivated for pursue continued education of Revit and related technologies to keep the firm on the forefront of emerging technological trends and innovations


  • Providing and applying design options and vetting them thoroughly while actively engaging project / R+B leadership
  • Preparation of and the ultimate success of the set of drawings, specifications using R+B standards (accurate, thorough, efficient, aesthetically pleasing graphics)
  • Technical accuracy, completeness and constructability of the Construction Documents at all stages of development
  • Appropriate application and incorporation of building, zoning, energy, accessibility, and other relevant codes to all projects
  • Appropriate application and incorporation of recent and relevant building science and materials to all projects
  • Managing, coordinating, and serving as the primary point of contact of consultants, building agencies, and contractors
  • Generating and picking up redlines


  • Has a bachelor's degree in architecture or related degree from an accredited program
  • Has 7-10 years of project architect experience or demonstrated equivalence
  • Minimum of 5 years of BIM management/training/standards implementation experience
  • Working experience with Dynamo and 3rd party add-ins
  • Proficiency in current versions of Revit, AutoCAD, MS Office, 3D Studio Max, and Adobe Creative Suite preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of PC, LAN, WAN, and database software and technologies
  • Excellent written, verbal, and social skills
