We acquire, renovate, build and manage apartment buildings. It’s a fascinating, lucrative business with tons of moving parts.

We’re looking for a very smart, motivated person to join our team of 12 nice, hard-working people.

You don’t have to have a lot of experience in real estate. If you meet the requirements for the position and are not an asshole, please apply... we can train you.

Tasks will include:

  • Looking at small prospective projects

  • Figuring out the smartest things to build (based on estimates of rents, construction costs, etc.)

  • Designing / laying out unit interiors

  • Creating deal memos to help us decide whether to move forward with the project

  • Liaising with our architects to ensure design process runs smoothly

  • Liaising with our construction team to help get the projects built

Requirements for this position:

  • High IQ

  • Motivation / ambition

  • Good spatial sense

  • Ability to use CAD software

  • Ability to work on multiple projects at once

  • Facility with simple mental math (multiplying, dividing - nothing fancy)

  • Facility with Excel

  • Decent writing skills

Bonus points if you speak Spanish, have some familiarity with, or coursework in, business, law and/or finance, and/or know something about the LA building code.

This job is perfect for someone who has studied architecture, but who is interested in building a career in real estate development.

Finally: My partner and I built this company from nothing over the past 10 years, with a lot of success. Believe me when I write that, for the right person, this job would be life-changing.

Compensation: Base salary of $60-70k / year plus significant performance bonuses.
