M Royce Architecture, a boutique design firm based in Venice CA is looking for a mid-level architect with 5+ years of professional experience with specialized skills in BIM management to become part of their team.

 Responsibilities

  • Creating and maintaining families, libraries, templates, and the overall model within BIM software (Revit)

  • Act as the lead on all BIM-related strategy, training, and application.

  • Audit models throughout a project timeline for overall “health”

  • Teach/mentor staff. Lead workshops on software updates, process training, new tools, best practices, development of Revit content creation such as parametric families etc., Suggesting and implementing Best practice solutions for Revit

  • Providing technical support to the architects/designers, supporting their digital delivery

  • Supporting interoperability between multiple software applications / Proficiency in all software platforms related to the execution of BIM/Revit applications in architecture (Rhino).

  • Technical problem solver with the ability to work out architectural solutions through innovative thinking (construction and shop drawings/details)

  • Prepare, develop and edit drawings and models as they relate to the project 

 

Qualification, qualities, skills and experience

  • Advanced/Expert level Revit proficiency. Subject matter expert on Revit, its add-ons and their application and use within architecture. 4+ years of professional experience working in an architectural design and project delivery environment with BIM projects (Revit), 

  • Interest in current BIM-related developments, tools and software

  • Experience training and mentoring staff, troubleshooting, and standardization in BIM related topics:

    • Workflow, best practices, coordination

    • Firm templates and styles

  • Experience in Design Development and Construction Documentation

  • Experience coordinating a multi-disciplinary project team (engineers and consultants)

  • Scripting knowledge, particularly in specific plug-ins such as Dynamo (for Revit)

  • Clear communication skills, fluent in English - spoken and written

  • Proactive and self-motivated with a continuous desire to both learn from and mentor others, capable of autonomous work, willing to autonomously and continuously develop new skills beyond their core knowledge

  • Excellent organization skills and the ability to meet deadlines, able to prioritise duties and work effectively

  • Architecture degree B-Arch or M-Arch

  • Legal authorization to work in the US and experience delivering projects in the USA
