Management of the retail store fixture design/development process for global Ralph Lauren factory store concepts, including North America, Europe, APAC and Middle East. Development of store fixtures to ensure architectural design integrity. Works with internal RLSD and oversees the work of vendors and consultants outside of Ralph Lauren.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Development of fixtures and furniture: 

  • Develop schematic drawings based on information from Architecture + Design, Visual Presentation and Merchant groups.
  • Source materials and vendors with focus on high quality product within budget parameters.
  • Review shop drawings to ensure fixtures and furniture are being built to RLSD design specifications.
  • Develop prototypes as a working model prior to order placement.
  • Maintain central millwork library for reference in global millwork purchases.
  • Interface with CAD department on fixture library data for Archibus database.

Bidding of fixtures and furniture:

  • Provide preliminary millwork and fixture spreadsheets for pricing purposes.
  • Interface with RL Procurement department on bid analysis and historical data.

Act as liaison between Ralph Lauren and millwork vendors:

  • Direct the work of millwork vendors from initial design concepts through fabrication.
  • Review of millwork shop drawings and finish samples.
  • Review and evaluate vendor and supplier performance.

Manage logistics of fixture programs:

  • Schedule and manage shipments to stores.
  • Verify receipt of items to stores.
  • Prepare a project punch list following delivery.
  • Create a fixture reference manual for all stores including maintenance guidelines/procedures and instructions.

Financial Responsibility:

  • Manage asset removal and transfer of fixtures between stores.
  • Track on-going costs to ensure budget compliance.

Experience, Skills & Knowledge

  • College degree in Interior Design or related field of study.
  • 3-5 years of experience.
  • Must have knowledge of technical equipment necessary to generate/revise display and fixture drawings.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD release 2018, 3D Studio, Word, Excel, and Microsoft Project.
  • Knowledge of millwork standards, details and construction.
  • Analytical skills, attention to detail, ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, both written and oral.
