About the Opportunity

Blitz seeks an enthusiastic, high performing Marketing Director to drive the company’s strategic marketing, communications, and business development goals across all studios. Reporting to the company Partners, the Marketing Director will develop and oversee marketing strategies, own the proposal process, and lead business development initiatives in San Francisco, LA, Denver, and beyond.

We are looking for a talented Marketing Director who wants to help Blitz shape the future of design. Our ideal candidate is self-driven but plays well with others, manages deadlines like a boss, and rocks their job hard. In addition to workplace interiors, our commercial interiors work includes bio-tech, higher education, international hospitality, and developer-led adaptive re-use. We are looking to expand our portfolio of projects and seek a Marketing Director to support this work. We love the power of a great idea and are looking for “builders” not joiners.

Responsibilities Include

  • Extending the reach of the company by maintaining relationships, engaging new clients, and opening new markets. 
  • Design marketing strategies in concert with the Senior Leadership.
  • Planning, writing, editing, and designing proposals ranging from single page letters to extensive RFP/RFQ responses.
  • Crafting detailed and researched messaging for potential clients.
  • Overseeing marketing staff across offices and coordinating with in-house graphic departments
  • Overseeing firm advertising, conferences, and award submissions in tandem with the Senior Leadership,.
  • Supporting public relation activities.

  • 8+ years marketing experience with professional services firms, architecture firms preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, marketing, business, or a related field of study.
  • Expertise in the proposal development process for private and public agencies.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) is a must; Web skills and HTML a plus.
  • Strong grammar, spelling, composition and proofreading abilities; superb attention to detail and eye for graphic layout.
  • Understanding of client and customer service in the AEC industry.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Candidates must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.

In addition to continuing education opportunities and project management training, Blitz supports internal design and technical presentations through learning lunches, after hours mixers, and a mentoring program that is available to junior staff.
