Brand Bureau is a multidisciplinary branding and design studio that builds enduring consumer brands and engaging guest experiences. We are based in New York City and are part of the AvroKO Group: an award-winning global collective of hospitality strategists, designers, owners and operators.

We’re looking for a Senior Designer to join our Interiors group. Senior Designers are responsible for leading the design of built environments as they relate to overall brand strategies and experiences. Senior Designers will lead Interiors teams, overseeing the definition and delivery of the design from conceptualization through coordination, documentation and execution in the field. While interiors focused, the role heavily relies on cross-disciplinary expertise in working with brand strategy, hospitality operations and graphic design.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT

Lead teams in conceiving of the interior design to meet the clients program, quality objectives, project constraints as well as Brand Bureau’s overall concept.

Liaison between the design director and the team during the design process.

• Organize and run regular in house design sessions with the design director and team.

• Responsible for the development of the interior design of the project according to the design intent and overall brand development.

• Reviewing all documents to ensure the team is incorporating design intent.

DOCUMENTATION

• Lead creation and delivery of interior design work product based on Brand Bureau’s deliverables standards for presentations and contract documents.

• Oversee the production and delivery of quality and timely sets of contract documents being drawings, specifications, budgets and reports as proscribed by the contract.

EXECUTION

• Ensure conformance with Brand Bureau’s design standards checklist requirements specific to each project design phase.

• Lead team in performing its construction administration services and resolving problems and issues that arise during construction.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• BArch (5 year professional) or Bachelor of Interior Architecture required, Masters preferred.

• 8-10 years professional design experience.

• 5 years interior architecture and hospitality design experience required.

• Branded environment design, retail and fixturing design preferred.

• 5 years demonstrable leadership experience as a design leader.

• Strong presentation and communication skills

• Highly organized, collaborative and detail oriented.

• Strong documentation and construction administration skills to lead projects through all phases.

• AutoCAD 2010 or later.

• Confident hand sketching and illustration ability very desirable, but not required.

• Adobe Creative suite and sketch up required. V-Ray preferred.

• Immediate availability strongly preferred.
